The 5 Most Stressful Careers in 2023

It's a challenging time when it comes to job-stress. The balance between career satisfaction and career-ending stress has been difficult to attain for many workers across America. There are some jobs, however, where stress is clearly part of the gig, and those who are called to these careers know, up-front, the extreme mental and physical health dangers associated with their jobs. Listen to Max & Amy's conversation about a recent article at StudyFinds that aggregates the results of a poll, by career guidance service JobSage, of more than 2,000 working Americans that found 28 percent say they’ve left a job in the last two years because of its impact on their mental health.

StudyFinds goes on to list the 5 Most Stressful Careers in 2023, based on top choices across eight expert websites.

  1. Surgeon
  2. Police Officer
  3. Firefighter
  4. Social Worker
  5. Paramedic
