Jelly Roll Didn’t Just Show Up to WWE… He Put His Body on the Line
Fans saw Jelly Roll make his WWE debut last year, but the new season of WWE: Unreal shows what really went into it. Spoiler, it was way more intense than anyone expected.
To train full-time, he packed up and moved to Orlando. He even rented two houses, one for the family and one for his crew, because the schedule was nonstop. Days were for wrestling drills. Nights were for writing and recording music. No days off, no shortcuts.
Jelly is never nervous walking onstage because the crowd already loves him. Wrestling was different. He admitted he was scared fans would not accept him. He even told Triple H he wanted to lose his first match. Not as a stunt, but because he wanted to earn respect the hard way.
And the training? Brutal. At one point, Jelly let wrestlers throw him through 15 tables. Not metaphorically. Actual tables. Fifteen of them. All to be ready for one moment in the ring.
It is a side of Jelly Roll fans have not seen before, and it shows why the guy connects with so many people. Heart, work ethic, and a willingness to get smashed through furniture for entertainment.
