Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid attempted to paint the back-to-back defending champions as underdogs heading into their AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday (January 26).

"I presume they'll probably be favored but that's alright," Reid said via FOX 4 Kansas City's Rob Collins. "We do our thing as we go into this and we don't worry about all that. But it's a high level of football and you've got to handle it that way. You get to test yourself at close to the highest level, besides the Super Bowl this is the highest level."

The Chiefs are currently 1.5-point favorites on multiple sportsbooks and the No. 1 seed in the AFC with home field advantage on Sunday as the NFL's premiere franchise, having won three Super Bowls in the last five years.

Kansas City has also defeated Buffalo in all of three of their previously playoff matchups since Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen took over at quarterback for both teams, which included the Chiefs' AFC Divisional Round win against the Bills ahead of their Super Bowl LVIII win last year.

Buffalo has, however, had the advantage recently during the regular season with four consecutive wins, including a 30-21 win at Highmark Stadium in November.
