It's George Washington Carver Day in Iowa - and his history is compelling!

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds approved a bill last year designating Feb. 1 as George Washington Carver Day in Iowa. Carver, born into slavery, became the first black man to attend Iowa State University and become a faculty member. He was a world-renowned botanist and agricultural innovator, and his story is quite compelling!
