The Des Moines Police Department will be out on the Court Avenue river bridge as we remember those lost, and honor those who continue to serve our communities. DMPD will be joined by other metro area agencies as they display equipment and visit with you!
The DMPD Museum will be open, and treats will be available. If you've never been to the DMPD Museum, it's worth a visit! They've got old motorcycles on display, past uniforms and badges through the decades, you can read about the history of the DMPD, and check out the mountain lion they had to down within the city limits! And the Girls on the Run of Central Iowa 5k will run through as well, giving you a chance to root them on too. If you’re at the Des Moines Farmers Market, stop on by!
