Entertainment Weekly has an article they're constantly updating titled "Everything we know about The Batman so far." They made an update this morning and it seemed like a good time to look back at everything that's out there.
There's no official synopsis yet forThe Batman, but we know that director Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,War for the Planet of the Apes) has put together a story that sends his Batman (Robert Pattinson) up against multiple villains, including Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, and John Turturro as mobster Carmine Falcone. Batman's allies will include Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred. Colin Farrell commented in a recent interview that the movie has “a really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous...”, so that sounds promising.
Rumors have circulated that the story may be partly based on (or inspired by) DC Comics' 13-issue multi-villain murder mystery, Batman: The Long Halloween.
It's still too early for a trailer, but lots of set photos and videos have leaked. Plus, the director has posted video of Pattinson's camera test in the suit and some cool photos of the new Batmobile. Check all of that out below.
