It’s great to want to decorate for Christmas, but you may want to skip putting Christmas lights on your vehicle.
The Washington State Patrol is reminding drivers of just that after they pulled over an SUV decked out with lights. The Patrol’s public information officer, Trooper H. Axtman tweeted a photo of the SUV with lights on the roof rack and noted "What does the Grinch and a Trooper have in common? They both would have pulled this vehicle over for illegal lighting," He added the trooper "didn't have a heart two sizes too small" and the driver was let go with a warning.
Commentors responded with a photo of a vehicle with an even more “Clark Griswold” display including a glowing snowman. Axtman replied that they knew about it and "Love the Christmas spirit, definitely not legal and very distracting,"
