A guy in Florida is going viral after he came up with two possible solutions to deal with powerful hurricanes like Dorian. He heard that passing over warm water makes them more powerful. So he thinks the Navy should just drop a bunch of ice in the water to cool the ocean down. Or the Air Force should fly planes through hurricanes in the opposite direction to slow down the wind. (Did you know there's a scientific term for this type of thinking? The "Dunning-Kruger effect describes a scenario where someone knows just enough to think they know a lot . . . but not enough to realize they don't know what they're talking about.)describes a scenario where someone knows just enough to think they know a lot . . . but not enough to realize they don't know what they're talking about.) Hey kudos to him for trying to come up with a solution.....
