Today is National Cookie Day, which is really perfect for December, where it's cool to eat anything and everything you see . . . that's January's problem, right?
Anyway, the most important part of the holiday is that you can get free cookies at a bunch of different places.
That includes cookie shops like Mrs. Fields, Insomnia Cookies, and Great American Cookies . . . fast food chains like Penn Station and Schlotzsky's . . . and, apparently, any Doubletree hotel, where you can just walk into the lobby and get a cookie today.
