On Monday, a garbage truck had been driving through the town of Hamilton in Ontario when it completely ran a red light.
Police say the driver was unable to stop the truck and veered off the road to not hit anyone.
What it did his was a sculpture of a homeless Jesus outside of St. Patrick’s church, which stopped the truck. Officials say if the truck had not hit the statue, it would’ve continued and could’ve hit pedestrians and other cars.
