This Simple Activity Could Ease Family Stress

We all know family life can sometime be STRESSFUL!

Listen to Max & Amy's conversation about the The American Heart Association's "Healthy For Good" movement and their survey by Wakefield Research revealing 91 percent of American parents notice their families are less stressed when they share meals together. According to the research among 1,000 Americans, 84 percent say they wish they could enjoy a meal with family members more often. By comparison, the average adult eats alone approximately half of the time.

Other findings include:

  • Two in three people surveyed say dining with others reminds them of the importance of connecting with friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors.
  • 54% say sharing a meal reminds them to slow down and take a break.
  • 59% admit they make healthier food choices when they eat with other people.
  • However, many Americans find it hard to sync their schedules with other family members.
