Well this is one way to make sure your old boss never gives you a good recommendation in the future.
There's a 42-year-old guy named Jeffrey Lytle from Monroe, Washington who decided he wanted to KILL HIS WIFE last week. And apparently he'd met a hitman named Shayne a while back, and wanted to hire him to take care of it.
So he sent a text that said, quote, "You remember you said that you would help me kill my wife? I'm going to take you up on that offer. I'll split everything with the insurance 50-50."
His wife had a $1.5 million life insurance policy. And Jeffrey also told Shayne he could take out their FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER, since she had a $500,000 life insurance policy. Disgusting.
But, Jeffrey didn't send the texts to the hitman. He accidentally sent them to his former BOSS.
So the boss called the cops on Tuesday night, and they arrested Jeffrey for criminal solicitation for first-degree murder.
He tried to tell them he didn't mean it, and he was just venting after a fight with his wife
