Today on The Morning Rush on 106.3 KXNO, we talked about the preseason Big 10 Conference football polls, and what the pundits and experts are predicting this fall. Ohio State is the overwhelming favorite to be crowned the Big 10 Conference Champion, and of course top the Big 10 East. In the West Wisconsin is the favorite to win, with the Iowa Hawkeyes getting a lot of respect and predictions they'll be in the mix late in the season.
BUT...can we talk about the teams that aren't getting the respect? Nebraska needs a big year to save Scott Frost's job, but anyone who wants to see him stay might be wondering if finishing fifth in the Big 10 East will do it. No one is predicting Northwestern to bounce back with a big year, they're picked to finish LAST in the West. Voters may think Indiana's recent success is a flash in the pan, and Rutgers is....well, Rutgers. But I voted for Rutgers to exceed expectations!
