Whether you visit Colorado in the coming weeks may be determined by how much you love spiders –or want to burn them with fire.
It’s getting close to the annual migration time of big ol’ hairy tarantulas in the area. Starting later this month, thousands of them will make their presence known in Otero County and through the southeastern part of the state as they look to do the dance with any female that’s eager and willing to merge body parts with them.
The migration event lasts until October, but experts say around September 10th will be your best shot to see thousands of tarantulas…if you’re into that kind of thing.
