Berkeley Police Officer Cites, Then ROBS Street Vendor On Camera

This blew up the interwebs over the past 24 hours. It's a video of a cop ticketing a hot dog vendor for not having a license, but what he did next is why it went viral. He grabbed the vendor's wallet and took all his money saying it'll be up to the judge to decide what to do with it.

This happened outside the U.C. Berkeley football game on Saturday, and the guy shooting the video asks the cop why he's picking on a hard-working man instead of busting all the people drinking in public. He doesn't get much of an answer.

He also set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the vendor's legal expenses as well as other vendors who've been similarly "robbed." As of last night it was over $40,000.
