According to the just-published study, "Feminine-named hurricanes (vs. masculine-named hurricanes) cause significantly more deaths, apparently because they lead to a lower perceived risk and consequently less preparedness."
So basically more people die because they don't respect hurricanes with girly names. Maybe they're not picking the right names, like Killer, Beeatch, Cthulu. You get the idea.
