Speculation increased thatSlipknotare about to reveal their new masks after the band’swebsitewas updated to feature a teaser video and a counter that runs to 0516, suggesting the date will be Thursday, May 16.
With an appearance onJ immy Kimmel Live scheduled for the following day, and the band’s sixth album set for release on Aug. 9 (they play the Iowa State Fair grandstand stage August 10), fans noted that while the looping video includes mostly archive material, a few scenes appear to show closeups of new masks.
