In the run for the office of Governor in Iowa, a candidate's war-chest is the ammunition to fight the campaign battles.

Where State Senator Jack Hatch has raised just over $700,000 so far, incumbent Terry Branstad has just over $4 million on hand for his re-election.

We asked Grant Woodard, campaign manager for Jack Hatch if this wasn't a case of David versus Goliath.

His answer was a resounding "no".

Woodard says he's pleased with poll results showing Senator Hatch closing the gap - and the expectation of raising more money as what he calls "big name" democrats coming to Iowa to stump for Hatch.

Woodard believes what separates the candidates is vision for the future, based on Hatch's ideas going forward as opposed to twenty years of Terry Branstad.
